I decided to post this as a separate topic for our convenience as well as Sana's. The point is: if you'd like to participate in a speedmapping contest, post over here that you will. I'll be maintaining a list in the OP.
Potential participants:
- AllRightsReserved
- Captain Clark
- GEx (as stated in the other thread)
- Jet(4.3.5)
- MakeMeUnreal
- Mman
- Teridax
- UBerserker (only if 227 doesn't become a requirement)
Potential contest participants, post here.

I'd love to participate, after all, I was the one who suggested it!

People who tentatively sign up here might not be able to make it at the date that we later set down in case a contest really gets going; there will have to be another round of sign-ups either way once there actually IS a contest, making this thread superfluous. I see little convenience in this thread.

What's the point of organizing a contest if there aren't enough participants to keep it afloat. The point is to either demonstrate to you, sana, that a contest should be organized -- or quite the contrary, that there is no point in that. It all depends on the results.

Agreed, and thanks for puting my name there.
I just hope that I'll do a better job here than the Xmas contest (check my sig for that).

Here's to the hopes that I don't have another hard drive crash mid-contest! I suppose I'm in!

May as well sign it. It could be a good chance to revive The Forsaken Spire.

Hey everyone!
My first map is slow in the making, mostly because I, well, couldn't help but be ambitious! and admittedly we all have other fish to fry!
Still, it's over 11000 nodes now, and it will be released at some point, even if it doesn't live up to the original vision.
The thing is, I now know how to mess around with the editor, enough that I can see myself doing little side projects... such as for a mapping contest!
Therefore, please add my name to the list of potential contest participants, I would definitely find such an event to be fun and stimulating!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: only if 227 doesn't become a requirement! (I've only got experience mapping for UT and I'm not ready to deal with specific 227 features)
Oh, and happy new year to you all!
