I love painting with the Pulse gun alt fire! Here is my slightly cool Nali and my rather odd Skaarj! Sorry if pics are dark! By the way, I added 'detail' with my DP.

The Nali is from a 2D side view!!!

And... Ok, I got no excuse for the Skaarj. :P

I beleive Lightning Hunter used to do this too, we did some stuff when we were testing UT classic pack 3 online as well I think.
