This should go in the Gameplay forum. The UT3 patch is out for a long while and... oh well, the 227 has been finally released.

I actually liked the old menu.
I miss it. (I have teh gold version from Totally Unreal)... :(
(Altho I see it whenever I test a map thru the Ued2.0)

You can have the old menu still there, it is in there defaultly, but you can switch it to an umenu menu by teh advanced options.

Beside support for footprints, footsounds, better decals (they work in fog now) - yes :)

Noooooooow you got me. I've got Totally Unreal (Unreal + RTnP + UT GOTY edition, dvd-like case, 4 cd) and I'm pretty sure (I've installed it!) I've got normal (not Gold) Unreal edition, with the ol', good green menu. How that's possible?

I don't quite understand. AFAIK footsounds in UT are custom content added around Xidia (might be wrond about the mod), footprints - never seen them, improved decals - never noticed them, but that's rather due to improved renderers (I always thought that decals being visible in fog was due to my GPU/gfx drivers).
Or am I wrong about all those points?

ONP was the first one to have footstep sounds, with the aid of UsAaR33. He used the same code for Xidia Gold and Seven Bullets. As far as I know...I don't think any other released pack has it.

Footprints have been done. Infiltration for UT.
