OMG! Teh UnrealEd Gnome Strikes Back!

Guess what happened to me today:

Other things I've noticed:
  • UEd2 has started stuttering badly like never before.
  • UT itself also stutters badly - GoW style.
  • Coronas are 'breaking' up (flicker in and out) when in view and appear white instead of adopting its supposed light color.
  • The error shown above - it's the first time I've experienced it.
  • This crap started happening only recently. :shake: Most recent important activity around my comp is that I've fixed Gears and that UT3 has been installed.

What should I do to fix this?

Alright, switched rendering devices from SoftwareRendering to OpenGL in UEd. Still stutters and I still get the corona error. Now it doesn't wash out in white but it still flickers in and out. It also does not disappear when it becomes out of view. This has probably something to do with UT itself.

Reboot your system. If it still happens, reinstall 436 patch.

Dunno what the hell you did :o

Well, setting the core affinity to just one processor definitely fixed the job... does this mean I'm gonna have to do it every time I open up UEd or UT? :/

Tried the dual core optimizer found in the link of that same page?

The one there's for AMD. Will that work in an Intel processor? :P

I've just tried AMD's Dual Core Optimizer and... nothing happened. (Program doesn't execute.) :P That's corporate rivalry alright.
