Well, it seems my time is over as it comes to the old father of all Unreal.

I haven't been comming here for ages and it seems I don't have the need to do so anymore. The reality has chased me and it looks like I cannot escape it anymore. Pity, a bit.

I'm leaving a lot of things (all of them actually) unifinished and probably they will stay that way. I'm only wondering what to do with them. Should I upload them somewhere along with a brief description for people who would like to finish them, use them or, I don't know... Anything.

Parts of Dragonfly, U-Racer, Ugly Ass Brutes, Computer Panel, Alternate Pawns, Day of the Titan, U-Bricks, Dynamic Plants, Lost Fleet, Path Node Gun, Physics engine for RTNP Episodes... No idea what to do with these things. I can't finish them as I have no time. Right now all free time I have I spend with either my family or with Unreal Engine 4. No time left for old Unreal. It makes me sad for some reason. But that's the reality.

Wish I had 7 more hours per week

I didn't decide yet but probably in next few months I'll dissapear for good. Not that it would change much for you guys, I wasn't so much active member of the community lately.

I don't know. I always leave things unfinished. Maybe I'm just trying to finish one of them. Still, I'm not sure if it's a good way to go.

Meh :/

Well, us at RTNP Eps would definitely find the Dynamic Plants, Computer Panel, Alternate Pawns and Physics Engine useful even if it is unfinished so getting us the stuff would be a great help. As for Dragonfly, U-Racer, Brutes, Bricks and Lost Fleet, it's up to you but if I were you, I'd release them for posterity's sake at least.

As for the remainder of the post...

Unreal Community seems to be losing one of their most talented members... and a very decent person at that. It's sad and I'm at a loss for words when it comes to that. My initial request list in the beginning of the post is more of an instinctive reaction to get collateral damage contained at the very least - apologies if it sounded cold or insensitive.

Well, you always certainly knew how to shock and amaze people with everything you came up with, Z, and I very much doubt you will be forgotten here.

Best wishes to you in whatever you plan to do :)

Sorry to see you go. I hope everything goes well, but with your talent I imagine you won't have much trouble.

Hey Z-enzyme,

I don't know you personally, but I have shown enough interest in UnrealSP.org so as to be aware of some of the things you created and how awesome these are all around, even when they are unfinished in your eyes.
Tell yourself: you have enriched this community with various projects and that is great in itself.
But importantly, you have to do what you really feel is good for you. And you touched upon this in your post, but I'd like to show it in a brighter light: to know what your priorities really are is the first step toward happiness. From what you said, I believe you know your priorities, and that is a positive thing, so you can be at peace with yourself.
And you can always drop by UnrealSP.org to say hello or something, if you feel like it :)
Good luck with your future endeavours!

Best of luck, Z-Enzyme. I hope everything works out okay.

P.S. Thanks so much for your tutorials on emitters. They are a godsend.

Hate to see people make these announcements. I always found your stuff impressive and would have enjoyed working with you on a project, but I guess sometimes things don't happen. I hope you kick around (there are people who feel the same as you but still make the rounds every once and while). There's something to be said for when people just lose interest in an old game so it's understandable.

Take care.

It's a pity to see you leaving this community, but it is totally understandable.
I vote for uploading all unfinished stuff, of course - it is better than leave it all unreleased. Maybe I should do the same with my abandoned maps, too - I don't even have UT's editor running on new Win8 anymore.

And I'm glad to hear you are not leaving gamedev at all - good luck with UE4!

I'm sorry to hear/read that your Unreal mapping days are over. Always enjoyed your releases and was looking forward to you completing your projects (especially Dragonfly).
But life is full of surprises and priorities are priorities, we all have to decide on how to spend our free time (as little of it as we may have) and Unreal can never come before the really important things in life (that is, if it's not your source of income).
Anyway, good luck ... hope you enjoyed yourself here (and with Unreal) and come visit this forum once in a while: who knows, the virus may still be in you and could be awakened by developments here ;-)

Even tho I am one of the inactives in this community, being passive and doesn't really provide anything, I say It's sad to see such a huge talent leave, I got instantly addicted when I first laid my eyes on ISV-Dragonfly. I am pretty sure I played some of it, if you released an earlier version during the speedmapping contest.
Anyhow, As everyone else stated, you seem to have found your priorities right and you should definitely aim for them, and that is coming from someone who has found theirs too.

As for uploading the unfinished stuff, I think you should do it, but it is also entirely up to you.

Good luck with Family, work and UE4!

Over and out.

Also, I just realized that we haven't asked the most important question: WHERE in the name of High Heaven, The Depths of Hell and the Holiest Chaos are the HD models? The Skaarj? The Brute? The Titan? It'd be such a waste of ungodly display of talent to see them not published... :-(

This question I'll leave unanswered just to tease you. And ILikeUDK as well.

Well, to tell you the truth, It feels so wrong to leave you guys, I have no idea why. Maybe because Unreal was the first game that I really liked and tried to enhance in any way. It's a difficult one.

Still, thanks a lot for your support. In next month I'll try to finish what I can finish, publish what I can publish and this probably will be the end.

...

But, still, I can change my mind. As one polish proverb says, only cow doesn't change it's mind.
