The most suggestible right now would have been a Dual Core instead of a Quad because a Quad is not all too economical when it comes to your electric bills. :B Well, there are lots of reasons - there was a thread about it in Epic's forums. Most answers was Dual Core. But if you really need that much power and can manage, then no problem. You can run UT3 several times :D

a quad core have the same electric consommation than a P4D , dual core are half this consommation .. this is not really a problem nowadays , as most of the PSU features strong 12volts rails now .. the only downside with the quad core imo is their tendencies to run a high temperatures in idle , making the intel stock fan running a higher speed than it would do with a dualcore , with a good case and ventilation , there will be no problem though

Scrag , also if you can recover 1 or 2 fans from your previous pc , i think theres room for one in the case i adviced you ( if i remember , only one is shipped with the case , but there a emplacement for a optional one )

Since you're upgrading for playing UT3 (although there are other great games out there), be sure to download this, otherwise you'll face the game's awesome power in crashing.

Don't worry... I'll be sure to patch it before I play anything. :)

you will also need a dualcore fix for UT , it works also for quad .. its just a modified exe of the game to work on one core ( otherwise the game will be too fast )
