Any story on how the project crashed into a wall and never got up again? :P Looks quite good too for UE1. And when was the game supposedly released?

it was never released. Some more info about the game:

From Aeonflux.org:
"I was not able to obtain specifics about why this attempt at the game failed. I sent email to several magazines, online and print, to find out more about why the project got canned. Only one media outlet (GrrlGamer.com) responded. They were unable to find out more (hey, at least they took the time to respond). Attempts to contact The Collective were fruitless... they were not responsive in the least. "

From Wikipedia:
"Second attempt: Another failed attempt would be made by The Collective, sometime around the year 2000, and was to be published by GT Interactive. It was using a then-current version of the Unreal engine, and appeared to be a 3D third-person action title similar to The Collective's previous title, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Fallen. Again however, at some point during development, the game was cancelled and the project vanished."

Funny detail btw.. the character shot is "dressed" differently than the ingame shots...(I like the character shot better actually, except for the knee parts.. but that's just my opinion)

I was just wondering if anyone else had more info/shots/whatever...

this game after DS9 the fallen? i couldn't imagine that, those screenshots look pretty bad, whereas ds9 is the most sophisticatedly designed ue1 game.

Still the game must have been pretty sweet, i actually have an archive of several unreleased ue1 games, i could upload some pics i have from them sometime:
Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Aeon Flux
Hired Guns
Navy Seals
Helix: Alien legion
Jazz Jackrabbit 3d (even epic and cliffyb were heavily involved in this, yet no mention of it by them... ever)

It reminded me of that other game, which used Quake 3 engine instead, known as Heavy Metal: FAKK2.

A bunch of polygons and a skin is something completely different from the real thing. 8)

Yes, if you have screenies. .please post!
As as far as the screenies that i posted.. yeah, they are pretty bad; I mean, they only show the main character, everything else look like.. well.. "standard cubes" to me.

Hired Guns and Jazz JackRabbit 3D have leaked, Hired Guns as a full beta with all the maps that were meant to appear in the full game, Jazz3D as a demo.

Hired Guns is technically a demonstration version = a demo. But it's beta. And it has all levels that were meant to be there.

JJ3D Demo soon. When I find the proper version. The raw one, that has been circulating all over the net has multiple maps UNWORKING. And mine has all of em running.
