New Unreal Tournament game in the works!

That's a very clean look with a lot of detail, though it seems like it could use a little color.

I was really hoping to stay off the hype train for this one (that way if it turns out not so good I'm less disappointed), but stuff like this is making that difficult. To be completely honest, the more I see of UE4 the more I'm tempted to pay the 19 USD just to play around with it.

The stress of being unable to land shock combos was not something I needed back in my life. The game also feels way faster paced than I remember the old Unreal Tournament being. Maybe that is the product of being a decade and a half older and my reflexes having deteriorated from "poor" to "a literal potato reacts quicker than you".

No, I don't think it's your reflexes. I have noticed that a lot of newer games are much faster paced than older ones in the same genre. Compare Starcraft 2 to the likes of Total Annihilation or it's spin-off Kingdoms.

The latter never felt like there was 'too much happening too fast', the former made my head spin. I had to play UT 2K4 with that official 'game speed changer' mutator set to 80% of the standard speed, and could only play non-PvP gametypes like trials or invasion online because I couldn't keep up with the other players. I never had (or have to, nowadays) to do that with U1 or UT 99.

UT 2k7 was even worse than UT 2k4 by a good margin and the videos of this new game look like it might be faster than UT 2k7 was
