Not really. Mesh skins (aka ShieldBeltEffect) might work here very well. One thing you need is preped textures to work with different models. If someone is using a non-stock model to play this technique will fail... And, I'm guessing, all the others unfortunately.

Also, gonna send you the Vertex Attach script so you can make second weapon visible on the back/thigh/ass/forehead of any player.

Actually Qtit, we just got that working XD here's a silly screenshot :P







Obviously we gotta shrink the size of the weapon XD but hey it works!

and yes we could attach armor to people actually using this same attach method (227 vertex attach function)...but remember, everything right now in RLCoop works with custom content...custom weapons and items and monsters...the only thing that wont work is custom playerpawns. but i wanna try and keep everything else working with custom material.

Hope you are able to Scale them down. Also the Automag should be on the Right Leg aswell as the Dispersion Pistol and all Two-Handed Weapons should be on Back.

Coming along well. I'll soon have a public server up probably with this running but still need to work out a few kinks and plus we gotta have a GUI interface for the inventory first, and preferably some help command so players know how to play. I can see it now..."I CANT PICK UP ANYTHING WTF UR SERVER SUX" :p So yeah...

Bleeder is fixing crouching and standing on players (so you can stand on more than one). Also trying to fix leaning. I just recently added a new inventory limit (15 items now, this includes stacks of items plus any armor you're wearing), and also recently made it so that when you die, you go into the spectating state and you can fly around like a normal spectator. What else uh...did I mention we implemented limping? Players limp depending on where they've been shot and the amount of damage they've taken. Limping doesn't heal if your health is below 50. Above 50 health, and your limp will heal gradually over time slowly. Also made it so when you get shot or take damage, it throws off your aim slightly. Oh and changed collision height accordingly when you feign death ^^. Other various fixes too and improvements, nothin worth mentioning :P

Oh and I did get lootable carcass's working (sorta) but decided not to include it into RLCoop. The levels are already well balanced enough (even custom levels) so it's really unnecessary. Maybe I'll release it as a separate mod.

edit: forgot to mention that we'll probably also add falling to the ground when you jump or fall from very high height. aka, you fall off a ledge too high and take damage when you hit the ground, it will send you into feign death basically =P

So I set about making a new logo for RLCoop. I decided it needed lots of explosions. But Bleeder said it should have pandas puking rainbows.

There was only one solution...
