Yeah I think that it should be included. But only as long as you're in a straight line or something like that, so that people aren't just sprinting through the whole level.

Nah, I think it should work the other way round - You could activate it whenever you like, but you'll have trouble turning while using it. Or you could only use it for a limited time, like in, say, Half-Life 2.

I was also thinking about the fact that you could have it for a limited time with a bar at the bottom telling you how much "Sprinting Energy" you had left.

Um...Any progress on this?
Also, on a YouTube video showing DmDeck16 from the Unreal 98 Beta, I ran into someone who knows Leo T.C.K. and has the 96 Alpha.
His YouTube username is thekazuya005.

Apparently that kid doesn't really have it. Leo tried asking him for it and only got a few already released shots from 1996 instead from him, so the kid is clearly trolling people about having it.

Well, I did see some screens I never saw before, like a working Quadshot and a correctly textured translocator in what appears to be Unreal.unr from the 1998 beta, and also a working flamethrower in a corridor in what looks like Foundry or Bounds of Foundry. And in a pretty decent resolution for today's standard. So he was probably trolling, but worked hard to do that.

Don't have it, and have not even a clue what you want to find there.. :-)
Only stuff i can find with wayback machine is:
http://web.archive.org/web/201108281017 ... ca/Area51/ (with all the folders underneath)
But everything is gone there.. unfortunately..

This Kazuya kid took Master_Unreal's (Who seems to have vanished) remake and all the currently leaked alphas/betas and thrown them together into another remake that he is claiming to have created himself entirely from material he has obtained all himself. He even took some old v220 models and claimed that they were from alpha versions of unreal.

tl;dr: he is retarded and should be treated as such

That is supposedly a link to a 1996 alpha of unreal, but no snapshots of the site exist before 2011 so yeah...good luck with that. There won't be any alpha/beta content left that can be found on the web, the only hope left now is developers that used the engine will have leftover content from their cancelled projects. XCOM: Alliance and Emissary were cancelled Unreal Engine 1 projects and are the only reason we have the leaked content that we do now
