I renamed it to oldskool1.ini and the custom maps bit easily loaded. I renamed it back again for now to reach my Xidia save game though. :)

If you're very careful, you can try importing the relevant bits of the old oldskool.ini into the new one.

In my spare time I made a complete guide for UGrief1, the link to it is here.

http://www.filefront.com/14885533/UGrief1Guide.rar

NOTE: It may not work. If you can open it and read the Title Unreal Grief 1 (made up out of symbols like \ / | and _) then I suppose it should work. If the title looks a mess, then so are the tables and everything so don't nother reading on.

I took the liberty of making a few updates to your Unreal Grief Chapter 1. Here is the archive:

UMOD: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FJ0CHMDW
ZIP: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DDLEZ2A9

What I did:

1. I added an OldSkool entry.
2. I reincluded OldQuadShot into the archive.
3. I made an UMOD installer (check UMOD version!)

I did not touch the maps themselves.

I also PMed the same link to Toby, but it seems he is absent...

Creating separate Oldskool entries for custom maps really isn't a good idea unless you're using a custom gametype, because Oldskool can only handle a certain number of map packs.

All that's really needed is for the map to have a screenshot attached to it.

I wonder how hard it would be for a coder to fix that limit in oldschool?

Doesn't the limit only matter if you have a shit ton of map packs installed? I don't know if there are even that many map packs around, and most of them wouldn't all be installed at once.

Yeah. It will eventually get to the point where you can't even access the Custom Maps section of Oldskool.

I've certainly reached the limit. There are a LOT of map packs floating around these days.

Well, I guess OldSkool could use an update.

It IS gonna happen. Even if not by the hand of UsAaR33, it will though.

If there is an update, though, the list of fixes should be insanely huge!

Wow, looks like you made this public even before I had a chance to say! :P

Yeah, I normally don't get around to the site until the weekends.

Also my custom map tabs NEVER works. That's why I had no screenshot, I wouldn't even get a chance to see it. :o

The updates to the Unreal Grief package have been authorized by LegendSlayer222! I've just gotten word from him that he authorizes the distribution of the package!

EDIT: Yeah, Toby, exactly. But have no fear, I have not done anything that would make the map feel different in any way :) I just created the oldskool entry since there are two maps here :D
