All the normal EXU2 weapons will appear. Aside the Shotty which is got near end-game and a hidden gun, you'll get all the big stuff in the first few levels. Things get instantly rough so you know the drill.

Soooooo this is still going, although I have been very slow in this month due to an exam I have to do. Development speed will be probably amped up to eleven once that is done/passed/gone.
Anyway, I had a huge amount of fun in the past days as one of my testers (Jet) got the idea of streaming his playtesting of my levels, in order for me to get some more insight on what to fix. Looking Jet playing (especially playing those levels made by yourself) makes me think of the different playstyles of other people compared to mine. This obviously means that loads of players may have major problems when making their way throughout certain levels because most of the strategies used aren't right for the fights, or because their skill level isn't as high as I expected.
One of the levels Jet played had him getting destroyed left and right due to the enemies being defeated only with specific strategies (and that was on Hard, though the difficulty of that map is generally gimmicky and becomes easier the more times you play it). With some gameplay fixes, Jet was able to go through it normally, even if the map can still be heavily punishing. Amount of items in levels can change things drastically.

Seriously, never release a mappack without a proper amount of testing from other people.

It was called Nebiros before the level was turned into a more desolated valley. The lighting and skybox aren't anymore like what is shown in the pics. Other maps are visually changed too.

if ever i release anything i'm seriously going to be cbf with the super extensive testing. don't want to be a perfectionist until i have more confidence. props to UB for being so 1337 though

Due to having so much stuff to care around, and the freaking toughy nature of the later maps development-wise, I decided to release the first part of the pack (four maps in total) in the next few days/week. I have no idea how much it will take, and how the future does look like, so you'll be getting some new shit to shoot at in an EXU-style manner before Summer.

Will update the first post in the following hours.

The project's looking very nice so far. I especially like the way Perditus Paradise looks, very peaceful in a gloomy way.

Will be doing now a playtest on Medium before releasing

I dare to call it a test release just for the only reason to get a wider amount of opinions, in order to fix what's wrong in the first four levels, and consequently getting better ideas for the second phase. Otherwise it's damn ready to go. Kind of like the first demo of EXU2 BI, just way shorter.
Not treating this as the "best thing ever", the project just started out as a joke aside from learning the editor and how much bullshit is this engine, but hey, more EXU2 monsters to shoot at!
At least I'd like to see if people will be able to find all the little secrets and some story related tidbits.

I'm the sort of person who likes to have a whole project there to play, but I'm also impatient so I'll probably give Phase 1 a run after getting back into practice with UT (not played it in a while). :wink:

Oh yeah! I definitely found myself entertained and challenged a lot with this when I betatested. Also curious about what others think about it, particularly Waff. I'll give this version a go soon.
