"Holy Shit"
second that!
Wow, wow, wow those volumetric space clouds and flares it looks just so good. Unbelievable.
Just one questions: Those are volumetric clouds using that cloud particle generator I saw posted few weeks ago?
Could be useful

no, it's a combination of nonsolid sheets with cloud textures, sprites, coronas, fog and light actors all inside a big sky-ball. Forground objects (like planets and ships etc) are in a large worldspace where the IP camera can make it's long journey to ISV Olympia, which is a small mover.
Simple to do (cutscene is only 180 or so brushes) but painstaking to set up due to the "artistic" side of the process...
The actual ship is coming along... quite cool imo - potential to be quite a creepy atmosphere (always love dark rides)
I'm supposed to have the ship done by the 15th, so the last two weeks are all AI and sound work... hmm... dunno
Maybe I should to be a bit less "artistic" with my time

i am going insane this should be simple but it's not - 1 "elevator like" lift with 4 keys (0,1,2,3). On the lift is a "console" where there are 4 buttons: "1 2 3 4". the lift is to go to correct key based on which button player presses. is there a tute that describes this and actually works? or better yet, an example in a published map somewhere? thanks in advance
EDIT - okay, nm - think I found what I'm looking for here - http://lodev.org/unrealed/movers/elevator.html

These screenies look even more awesome than your last ones.
I love the view out in the space.

That has got to be the sexiest thing I've ever seen done with the mercenary theme ever. You've got a lot of my own personal work beat to the excessive, man, great job.

thanks for the compliments I wouldn't have thought of "mercenary theme" - i have particular scenes in mind and unfortunately certain decayeds and mine textures are the only ones close to fitting... anyways, hope to show more soon, it's starting to look like a proper map but much is not presentable enough yet...
soon though
Cheers

In all your screenshots you have taken the things from the game and made something really different and creative. Keep up the brilliant work.
