Subject: Sight Radius Trigger

It's a new trigger for music change:

- when a monster with the same Tag as this trigger PawnTag sees the player, a new music is started (attack music), and it can return to the previous music when you finish to kill all the monsters that are affected by this trigger.
- it can play also a victory music at the end instead of returning to the last one

This trigger was requested by Creavion, and tested by him, so I suppose that hasn't any bug.

Nice work, really interesting idea (although I think that EXU2 got at least victory music, dunno how it was triggered through)!

Interesting. Is this different from giving one of the pawns in the group a HatePlayerEvent to start the music, and setting all of them to the same Event that trips a Counter? That way, when all of them die, the Counter runs out and trips its event, presumably another event that resets the music.

@Waffnuffly: Yeah, it's different, because the HatePlayerEvent is activated only when a monster start attacking you, and once.

With this trigger, if bReturnOldMusic or something is True (don't remember now which variable is), while the monsters are actually seeing you and trying to attack, an attack music is activated, when they still are alive but you leave them behind or you hide from them (when they can't see you), the old music returns, until they see you again and attack music is activated again.

For another hand, if you want a calm music to start when a peacefull being like a Nali sees you, then HatePlayerEvent won't do the job, so you can use this trigger to do that job instead too, as this trigger doesn't detect attacking events, but it is activated based when they see you (when you are inside their sight, so the name Sight Radius Trigger). ;)

I hope you understand then why for example Creavion asked this trigger instead of using HatePlayerEvents and stuff.

Never played Deus Ex or Unreal whatsoever, just UT and some SP campaigns, so I don't know which objects are there, people just request some things and I try to do if I can. I am a noob at this :lol:

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but other people might also be interested and I see no reason to make a new topic:-

This trigger for music change by Feralidragon - the "Sight Radius Trigger" - a la Deus Ex - any chance that someone might be able to provide a working link?
Has anyone experience using it? and if so, any bugs to report? (apparently Creavion tested it)
