[U1 227] Deja Vu -> Unreal conversion?

USP-01 100%
USP-02 100%
USP-03 98%
USP-04 100%
USP-05 100%

USP-07 100%

USP-14 100%
USP-15 90%
USP-16 80%

All maps at the least have been converted without any missing textures (Including mylevel). The first 4 maps are pretty much finished and look and act (almost) exactly like the UT version.


I was trying to get Jaunie/Freeza map done tonight, but have run into some really really bad BSP and Geometry errors near the begining cave. (I might have to completly redo this part)







Personally for me, this project has been a very interesting one. I haven't played around much with Ued2.0, so this gives me a really good sense of comparing and contrasting with the 227 ued2.0. I've found some bug errors I still have to report to smirftsch.. some I already have. Still with these bugs, everything that is possible in UT2.0 is possible in 227Ed2.0 (just alot of workarounds)

Thanks again for the USP team in creating this wonderful experience. I think it will go over nicely for the co-op community once it is polished and ready for action online :D

Did you manage to sort out USP-05's BSP? The release version itself is problematic, and crashes some PCs in the cave section.

:shake: I knew it "had" to be problematic in the UT version. No, its not completely fixed actually. Two of textures will "skew" up and down still in this cave, but no visible BSP cuts. I redid its geometry to make it "more stabilized", further testing will have to be done to see if it causes crashes in-game.

So far, no crashes after I fixed the geometry, so I'll consider it final for now

Just make it dark. Nobody will notice. :P

EDIT: You might want to add sounds to the control room at the end of Drevlin's map. I think Frieza forgot to do that.

these bananas are really giving me alot of problems. I've had to reboot my machine twice since working with their scripts :lol:

The problem is, you can get 1 scripting error for about 1000 bananas.

In other words...

okay, USP 9-14 are complete. (Damn, got alot done!)

Okay, members of the USP team, please PM me if you would like to recieve a private link to the beta 2 final conversion. I need some of the USP team to quickly run through the maps in their unreal and just overlook to see if there are any errors in the map that need fixing.

oh I must also add, that skin is not the final version. All the "small" holes in the warlord has been fixed, so all you see is those broken wings

If I may make a suggestion? Take the skybox textures and make them NoSmooth pls :o

That always bugged me.

As for the skin, I made the Elder skin in about 4 nano seconds by making it all gray in some paint program so feel weird about changing it.

huh? it was changed? See, the texture wasn't included in mylevel with all the other skaarj textures. I'm not sure why, but it just wasn't loaded up with my UT version of dejavu

I like the shot ;) but the warlord looks a bit strange with the masked texture of the skin... looks like his wings are cracked
