He made up all the words beginning with the V I bet...
And is that your best crate in mappack, or can we expect more annoying, more decorative & bigger crates than this?

It's the only crate I've added to date!

Still not at 40% (dammit!!!), but things are moving forward.
My next "20%" is slightly smaller than the current "20%", I think, so I'm not too worried.

Ah well, so long VVV.
NO!! Keep going! I'm sure you'll make it!
(& if you don't finish it in time, you can still release it as a map after the competition! )

I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm only aiming for 80% build, after which I will switch to gameplay design, then cobble together something basic to replace the final 20% unless I have loads of time left.

Where are you keeping those backups, though? Surely not on your grandmother's 15-disk RAID0 array in an ancient, dust-clogged PC that sits next to the radiator?
(Just pretend your grandmother knows what RAID is)

Most of the backups are on the same disk as the main file, existing primarily to provide me with an earlier version of the map to revert to in case the working file gets screwed up. However, I also transfer the file every so often to a USB pen drive. I've done that tonight to mark my achievement of a 40% build.
P.S. I have no grandparents left.

Gah. After getting to 40% a day late on Monday, I've had no further time to work on VVV until tonight. I probably won't get to 60% until midweek next week (but, having said that, the weather forecast for this weekend sucks so I may get more done than I expected).
