I want to be the last bastard boss since I'm pretty good at it. But hey, after The Nameless Mod, game projects with a story regarding the Internet are suddenly coming out.

Yeeeah I don't think many people would "get" it, and of the people who would, I don't know how many of them would find it all that funny.

Maybe just work on something more traditional like the other SP stuff you were working on?

No need to be traditional, but if you go for funny then make sure that it really IS funny.

You're welcome to do anything with my character that isn't too much in bad taste!

To be honest, I don't think I'm going to win anyway. So I'm just going to make any old map for a laugh, even if I'm the only one thats laughing at the end.

it's not the winning, it's the taking part that counts.

I've started construction. It will be city based, starting in a high street, and going into the USP base. I will put in multiple ways of entering the base. On the whole, it will be serious. Except for the back story... It's possible though. I'm using the upcoming maps page to blow up continents right now.

I've started on your starting spot. Here is an in-progress picture:

That whale like thing is your shuttle, and as you can see you might need a flashlight (I've put one by the ship). This area will be changed in the finished version, just thought I'd give out this taster.

Your all probably to busy to comment though; you're making your own maps!

It's a start... not much more to say than that!

Reminds me of the MH-Liandrisomething maps, as those were the only ones in existence in which you would invade a building by starting from the streets.
It's always a nice idea in urban themed maps.

As this map is largely based around UnrealSP.Org, I will mention names of big released mods in the storage warehouse (Xidia, Deja Vu, ONP, Legacy, 7B, & Nali Chronicles).

If people would rather not have one of those packs mentioned, speak up now.

Sounds interesting :o

Guess you'll need to contact some people who are outside of USP regarding Legacy, NC and ONP (but do they really care?).
Just a tip: go only for the other three, as the people here will probably accept it. Don't make yourself any big problem.

I would certainly say that you should ask permission before using other people's work... but I don't think you really need permission simply to mention the mods in your map. It's free advertising, really.

Generally you are right. But not everybody takes things such easy. A certain guy from the ONP crew for example. He would surely take you to court for using ONP stuff for your projects if it is not an ONP custom map. At least I can remember old times where he said something like that.
