Yeah, Shrakith'a is how I knew it was possible, but I think that was a simple negative gravity zone, which presents its own problems (auto-climbing). This trigger is auto depending on the direction you look, but you can also stop and it's easy to look around and shoot at stuff.

No harm in quoting it there I guess.

Try boosting the brightness on the light textures a bit using low-radius nonincidence lights.

Otherwise, looks like an interesting use of shadow.

I've already got one NI light per fixture, but I may have to add a second one to each. Zonelight makes it look duller than it is.

Also, I've been working on gameplay and so far the first chunk of the map is an absolute clusterfuck, but awesome, and not too difficult either. There's a lot of OddsOfAppearing use, too, so you can never know for sure what to expect.

Gameplay is looking great, and right now I'm working on writing up all the translator events. I think you guys may really like the story in this one; there's a few nice surprises. :)

[Edit] Messages complete! There are 21 of them ( :o ) but I tried my best to keep the majority of them limited to what fits on the default translator screen. You won't need to find all of them to fully appreciate the story, either, but they definitely will enrich it significantly. There's also still a lot left to the imagination. You also might not be finding them all in chronological order, either, but you will be able to piece together the events well enough if you pay attention.

Well I guess first I would need to get totally insane to understand and like stories from you.

Sounds awesome, can't wait. And blue lights FTW!

Don't worry, this isn't EXU. There is absolutely nothing supernatural in this :p

Holy shit, playtesting this on Medium and it's already harder than some of my EXU maps on Unreal :I I need to add a LOT more inventory for Easy/medium, but otherwise I'm very pleased with the gameplay so far. This boardwalk is totally awesome, and I even get surprised by some of my own ambushes.

[Edit] Got a LOT of work done today so far with the gameplay. There's tons of scripted attacks and randomized enemy placement, etc. I haven't even pulled out the CreatureFactories yet, and I'm not so sure I will need to for very much.

I finally got around to making the skybox. It didn't take me as long as expected :p

Does anyone know of any more orangey sun textures? Also, I will probably increase the size of both suns to make them more prominent.

Seems pretty fitting. Though the one in the post above isn't bad too.
