I guess, although with broad enough coverage of the issues to stand alone. Maybe it could extend to two paragraphs (e.g., loosely, build and cast).

REQUEST

I have a request based on my experience playing HellScrag's Victorian Vacs.

The moment the map was released some vital information about the map was released by players (can't really blame them) in the map's topic.

In hindsight (something which I had thought of before but kept quiet, probably shouldn't have) this really spoils part of fun of exploring the map, e.g. I knew something respawned perpetually and that I should look for more than 1 switch before encountering the final boss(es).

My request is to refrain from mentioning spoilers in posts until after the contest (otherwise this could turn into a MOTW for the contest). Bugs can of course be mentioned so that the author can try and fix stuff but specific information pertaining to the situation could be PMed to the author.

It may be difficult to avoid giving away infomation about a map but if it is necessary then perhaps a large *SPOILER* notice could warn the reader.

Personal opinion- it would be a shame to miss out on some surprises in these new maps if too much info floats around :shake:

Shared opinion. That's why I glazed over & ignored the thread :P (but will read through it after I've played the map).

It would seem polite to announce spoilers prominently at the start of the post... or to black them out, like sana did.

I'm going to upload my map once the readme and commentary are done, so I may be about 15 minutes late. The map is completely done, though, and has been for the last 2 hours, so I'm not cheating! I'm working on the commentary right now. I also tested the map on a fresh UT install to ensure it worked properly.

I'm 50 minutes late with the thread, but I assure you that 40 have been spent with writing the text files, uploading and taking screens!

Same exact scenario for me!

TLF-Commentary.txt has gone overbudget (148%)

[Edit] THE TORTURE HAS FINALLY PRODUCED RESULTS!

I had to reupload my map - i found a bug ( i thougght i fixed it but i didn't) which made impossible to finish the map, so i hope this wont be 'rules are rules get de fak out of the contest'

So out of all those people that entered the contest, only about 6 maps came out of this? And I don't include the two maps made in 6-hours...

Maybe a HUB map shouldn't even be built, unless late submissions come in that are accepted into the pack (but not included in judging).

NT is still being worked on, M8 :)
Just wait for the Carnage...

Eh, if the deadline is bent a bit that's fine with me. The judges already have a lot to start playing while the others get their stuff in. I don't think excluding a few extra late maps would really benefit anyone.

Scrag, can you please put d/l links to all submitted maps in the "ENTRANTS WHO HAVE SUBMITTED" section of first post? I have no time to check every thread, :shy:
