That's an ASMD core in the icon, right, representing the ammo? That's certainly what I assumed...

Update

I'm in a position now where I can release the pack on time, or release it standalone a few days late of the contest with the baseball bat included along with a sledgehammer (instead of the IH), fully functional. Obviously I'm not going to ask for an extension, but what do you guys think I should do? I'd rather it be released in the complete cut I wanted it to be instead of without the additional melees...but the version I'm wrapping up IS fully playable without them.

Argh :o Creative conundrums.

Before going myself to the conclusive answer - Is the new Chainsaw ready on the other hand?

Not really new, but yeah it works. So is the impact hammer. But they aren't really new, whereas the two others are (it would also increase the melee options from 2 to 4).

I'll try to scrounge up some screenshots of them in action.

Yeah, they get bloody when you use them.

I think I'll wait for some more input from you guys before I make my decision.

It is okay for me to release the cut version for the contest and the complete version later. It was a speedmapping contest after all.
Opinions of more judged should be needed, but honestly, why worrying that much if you think that your product is perfectly playable?

Well you guys have three weeks to review the maps, and if I release the lite version on time, the fuller version will no doubt be ready inside of those three weeks (likely even before the first week even ends). What I'd be curious to know is, would an updated version be allowed as long as the mapping aspect is finished by the deadline? Clearly this is a question more for Hellscrag, but I'd be curious to hear what everyone thinks. I have no qualms about releasing two versions, as long as the final one is what counts for the group mappack.

What most have said is that they'll release their map for the competition, & it'll go like that through the judging stages & stuff, but then they can smarten it up for the compilation release.

I was under the impression that whatever you turn in gets judged and whatever you finish up before judging ends is what goes into the compilation. But hey I'm sure there's some middle-ground somewhere

I guess I'd prefer that the map be submitted without the missing content before the deadline... then the map can be amended for the compilation release. However, I might reconsider if there are strong feelings to the contrary. I would agree that all mapping elements should certainly be completed before the deadline.

Right now there are only three submissions to the contest.

Enter it, please.

Yeah, I've got a lot of testing to do still. Got two days, don't rush meh! :o

EDIT: Ugh, these tweaks! Might come down to the wire.

Update

...I'm going to have to withdraw my map from the contest due to there being no way I can finish all my tweaks and final testing on time. On the plus side, I will have a thoroughly functional version available within the week most likely. It really came down to the wire for me. If I had another day I might have made it.

Good luck to the other contestants
