The white trans background stays cus...well I like it
The trans font was tricky. Originally had the U1 green (which looked effin terrible), and the problem with gold/yellow is that it's very hard to read. Black was the only color that really seemed appropriate.
I'm gonna use a yellow UT cross hair too, just dunno which one yet. And yes, you're seeing right. The Jump Boots are positioned under the shieldbelt almost like an armor. That's cus once you find them, they are permanent and you get double jumping ability. You can also suffer Bleeding damage, for which you need to use bandages.

Just figured I could do a technical update; Map geo is about 80% done I'd say. I still need to finish one cellmate arena and start the Mister Gaul one. Then there's the end area and stuff. Still working through some gameplay kinks. I really want to explore some multiple paths/sequence breaking type stuff here, so there's a lot to consider there. My node count is around 27k and everything else is pretty tame. I have yet to get a single BSP error yet, but then again I'm taking the minimalist approach to level design with this one so, yeah.

One more thing I should mention is that it looks like the bat you saw in the first page probably won't make it for release. Just too much other stuff to get to first. It will get tossed into the melee batch for RD though, and if Dead Cell gets enough of a good response I might make a continuation of later (after the speedmapping thing) that might have a functional one. Or maybe luck will be on my side and we'll have it afterall. But as it stands, doesn't look like the bat will be ready in a week. If it was a seven week contest...yeah. So don't cross your fingers for it.

What is the second symbol nrext to the ammo? Is that as melee weapon symbol or something?
You could use it like an EE on a shadowy ceiling.
