For the next 7 days forum members will be able to give their own scores to all final contest entries by navigating to the polls in their respective project threads, which can be found in the 10th Anniversary contest forums. Make your vote count! Community scores will be added as an addendum page to the contest article on the main site.

This is a great idea because it allows the community to be active and it provides a wider range of opinions. I suppose that the authors are not allowed to vote their own map?

There's no way to control votes, so they can, however not doing it would, of course, be a display of taste.

Of course, I won't vote my map. If I could, my map would get only five/six, anyway.
