I'm trying to which opengl renderers i should be using for unreal and ut. Google gives lots of results but i can't tell which driver is the latest version/which one i should be using. Can someone point me to the most up to date opengl renderer?

I'm also STILL getting the masking bug. You know the one. Where certain textures have black patches where instead there should be transparency. What are the solutions again? I'm using the latest
S3TC packages from the unreal retexture project.

I've tried setting maskedtexturehack to both true and false and it doesn't seem to do anything. I still get stuff like this happening either way:

I have no idea. I don't use S3TC textures, normally when something doesn't mask I tell them to turn UseS3TC off because of some bug in the algorithm. But here, I have no idea. As I recall, masked texture hack sets actors to STY_Masked so a different routine masks it. But I really don't know for sure. All this rendering madness is not my area of expertise. Try emailing chris on his UTGLR page. search for "feedback"

I think it is a different file used for "Unreal" UnrealSP . com should have something or know what to do to help.

I use the version one below the highest version for UT, but they all seemed to work AFTER you read the readme for the openGL .INI settings.

The texture problem is 3 texture files that you keep the old originals and not use the hi rez files and will stop the texture problem.I can't name the 3, but you will find them by searching, but the two (I think) is sky??? .utx the other city??? .utx

The other problem is when servers use that Epic server install, while you use hi rez textures, you can't move and the pawns all slide instead of walking if it lets you move around.

I updated my OpenGL renderer but the settings in UnrealTournament.ini won't update. How do I fix this?

I had to open the preferences menu in order to update the .ini, problem solved.
