Hahahaha, it's probably just as bad as Unreality then.
And, really, if it was really good, why would it have been lost in the first place?

Has anyone contacted zynthetic? Maybe there's a remote chance he has it
fileplanet had it at one point:

http://personalserver.fileplanet.com/re ... skaarj.zip
When was the last time they had a file purge? Maybe it's still sitting there somewhere.

The site that hosted it had a few other SP maps.

Here's the only screenshot of Return the Skaarj that I could find.
I don't think it's on PlanetUnreal anyone. Searching for sp-returnoftheskaarj doesn't show any results.

Living without it is no problem, but it is a pity that such a large campaign has disappeared.
Any chance some members of other sites (e.g. where L.E.O. resides) would have it and would be willing to upload it ?

Yes, thanks a lot.
The Installation is a little bit weird. I think you are supposed to rename DM-unreal.unr to unreal.unr. But I would suggest not using that shortcut. Instead start it via console or Oldskool. First map is called extra.unr. The real first map is DM-unreal.unr. I had problems switching to the next levels. I always had to use the switchcooplevel command.
The download contains 50 MB of textures which aren't much used. The best map is NaliVillage coming close to the end. I knew a part of it from Archsub (MotW). The rest comes from FallenAngel. 90% of his brushes are cubes and 99% of the Polys are horizontal or vertical. Many unaligned textures, no translator messages and you can often walk through sheets, when you are not supposed to. But still worth playing. Though the map pack ends abruptly in arena.unr (when falling through the ground).
Does somebody know how to cheat (ghost, summon) in ut99 without using OldSkool? I missed the Automag or Minigun. When you miss a weapon, you don't get a second chance to find it. It's a little bit weird, that you have ASMD and Shockrifle (and later on you find a SuperShockRifle, seems somebody forgot to delete it).

The maps are named incorrectly, so it took me awhile to figure out what the correct order of playing them was.
The best of the pack is probably the map early in the beginning, it's pretty much a remake of a dark forces / jedi knight (?) map, and it instantly reminded me of that, very nicely done despite the horrid build quality.
after that it just takes a turn into utter shit, its even so bad that near the end they somehow decided to rip off entire parts from other maps (steve long and Shinigami among others)
I decided to quit at the bossfight... a drawscale 40 skaarjwarrior without any altered attributes is just a plain retarded idea.
