I found this on a disk I had (along with a bunch of other, generally less obscure, Unreal maps). I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere so its pretty much unknown, I don't know where I got it from but I decided to upload it somewhere so it can be archived in some way.
Unfortunately it doesn't work in UT and newer versions of Unreal and needs an old (maybe even original) version to work properly. I might install non-patched Unreal to see if I can get it working. The extractor is foreign but it should be easy enough to work out.

Downloaded and gave the map a try. It does need an unpached version of Unreal to work. I gave it a go and downloaded the glide wrapper from Zora's site to get rid of the fuglyness of software render. Here's some screenies:
The village:
The fort:
Overview of the first part of the map. The canyon sort of wraps itself up as it starts and ends in the village.
Aparently there's two parts to the map, the initial village (name Jiganara - that's for the name of the map) and an underground tunnel that connects to a sort of a temple or whatnot. I haven't been able to figure out how to get to that second part of the map just yet though, since all the lifts work only if you touch them and the button that (I'm guessing) opens the door of the underground tunnel is located a top of a mountain. Dunno how to get down without "leaving a small crater". I'll get to that.
But I must say though, that for such an old map the build quality's pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but it surprised me quite a bit. The one problem it does have is the lightning, since everything is done with zone lightning except for the torches. So it's kind of blunt, but alright. I'll somehow try to get this to a 225f version and upload it again if it'll work since I think it's really worth a try.

You got it working in newer Unreal versions (does that mean UT too?), cool! I guess that upload means it's archived in some way too.
It strange how this Jiganara is more impressive than Jiganara 3.
If there's any other old maps you know the name of then ask and I'll see if they're on the disk I got this map off. Some of the other stuff on it wasn't well known, but nothing as obscure as this map.

Hey W3, if you were a woman and I wasn't married and..... (blahblah)
Anyway, great job to convert it, thanks! It looks like one of the first maps I've played loooooooooooong time ago.
I know of some more stuff to convert, like Vigil99. Dunno if it's worth it, but I would like to replay those old maps... Could you, would you convert those, plz?

Darkon: I can give it a try, give me the maps and it's asociated files and I'll see what can be done
MMAN: I dunno for UT, didn't test it really, but I think it should work. Custom scripts is what poses a problem, don't know if those'll work.

Nice find, MMAN.
Also, thanks for the info W3. BTW it's lightING, not lightNING. LightNING is something entirely different. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightning

I didn't change anything. I saw some things got messed up, so I'll fix it and re-upload it.

Vigil is hard to convert because it uses its own weapons, monsters and gametype and HUD, plus it works only in version 2.20 it seems.
I played only a bit of that pack, I remember it being very hard.
Btw that original Jiganara, where can I dl it so I can try the original version with custom scripts? I assume taht W3 removed the custom scripts from the map.
