Simplistic as it may be, the architecture got the job done. I enjoyed the level somewhat, too bad there was no story to it, and that god-awful boss...

Seemed ok enough, I edited it to work in oldskool, lighting had some good areas, and the archy was not that bad since he made it an inside map to then go outside, and has terrain.

Simple and short but not too bad. I found the gradual reveal of the temple entrance at the start kind of impressive, but the interior has flat lighting that makes it feel "2D" despite the interesting multi-layered layout. I like the statue warp secret, but I almost find it a shame that it's pretty much mandatory and hinted at, as I think it's the kind of thing that would work great as a potentially overlooked secret in a larger level. The boss model looks really bad, and it seems like damage is unavoidable from it's ground shockwave (although jumping does greatly lower the damage), it has potential if it was tweaked a bit though.

Pity about that final section. Just about up to the Greek Monster I kind of liked the setting (and the graphics). I should however have been a lot harder (more pupae jumping down forcing the player to advance into Skaarj territory. Similarly the Krall outside are just a nuisance but no threat. That final battle spoils the whole thing because once the player knows how to tackle that boss there's nothing memorable about it any more.

That boss is something out of Super Mario 64. It's really bad though.
