I would not say it was something to get angry over :). Let's be honest here, most titles to community SP maps and packs are pretty ludicrous.

It's about as much a sequel to Shadow and Fire as Unreal 2 is to Unreal.

Anything can be a sequel to Shadow and Fire since it had no proper story. The analogy is still terrible though because it's like saying that Fall of Seethe is bad - which is not.

You missed my point. And I'm not saying Fall of Seethe is bad, I'm saying that there's very little that connects it to Skaarj Tower.

A story isn't the only thing that connects sequels. I don't think Unreal 2 is bad on its own, but it's not Unreal. I don't think Fall of Seethe is bad either, but it's no Skaarj Tower. I don't see how the analogy is bad given that a lot of stuff Unreal had was missing in Unreal 2. The same can be said for Fall of Seethe when it comes to Skaarj Tower.

If Skaarj Tower: Fall of Seethe was just called "Fall of Seethe," I wouldn't have expected it to be like Skaarj Tower. If Unreal 2 had been called something else entirely, I wouldn't have expected it to be anything like Unreal.

Anything can be a sequel to Shadow and Fire since it had no proper story.

So The Tragedy could be a sequel to Shadow and Fire?

EDIT: Oh you were talking in that sense. Now I get the message. It's hard/maybe impossible to expect the same kind of quality by two different authors. Drew put all of his efforts in Conceptual Grandness/Build. Cardiologist took the classic Unreal Single Player-type approach.

Still, Cardiologist somehow took Skaarj Tower on the right way for me. He addressed all the things I didn't like about S&F (almost everything, except the conceptual grandness).

yeah, i was just sleepy/drunk when I wrote that :P Full time work really takes it out of you. Struggled for the right wording.

Both are good packs. The sequel just didn't feel like a sequel in any way. They are only very loosely coupled. Felt a tad decieved, but still enjoyed them both

Drew was involved in this pack originally but had to pull out IIRC.

Love the music for this map, by the way, it fit the nighttime atmosphere perfectly.
