There now seem to be those annoying underlined words with ads popping up from them now on the forums, and when I clicked on Board Index, it opened up a new tab with some random ad in it.

Please tell me that what's happening isn't...

No ads for me, maybe those ads appear with specific browsers?

It's a kind of malware; I've had it a couple of times. Look up what it is (sometimes the ad pop-ups give some hints) and it should be pretty easy to get rid of.

No, they've not actually. seconds after I posted that the "work" in in GEX's sig and the "display at the bottom became popup ads for cloud storage.
What's going on??

Due to the fact that UnrealSP is (thus far) fully funded by donations I have not installed anything related to ads on the website. It must be a problem on your side; likely malware as Mman said. Check your browser's addons for suspicious entries and scan your system with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for good measure.

Install Microsoft Security Essentials and run a full scan. Install Malware Bytes and run a full scan. If it's still happening after that, just reformat and reinstall Windows. It will save you time in the end and guarantee the virus is gone. Then you can properly secure your machine.

... if you're using firefox, install adblock. I think it's also available for others.. but I mainly use FF, so..
But that should take care of other ads....
