Return to Mars 25 October 2003 Hellscrag
After a couple of false starts, TheEmperorStalwartUK hasn't given up on his own project to develop a sequel to Unreal for Unreal. The pack is now fully planned and a promo screenshot has been provided - you can find it on the Upcoming Maps page.
Mapping Malarkey 22 October 2003 Hellscrag
Yep - time for another update, and not all of it is good news. The bad news is that Na Pali Heaven for Unreal II has been cancelled due to irreconcileable team differences. Yeah, a lot of you probably knew that already, but I only recently got confirmation off team member Ger "Studio F" Ledderhof - who, incidentally, has sent me another cool wallpaper that I will upload soon.
On a more cheerful note, ThickAsABrick made a few neato screenshots of his upcoming first map, the opening level of a pack called Morene. The pack has been added to Upcoming Maps (along with a few story details on Frieza's Cellars of Na'Adriel), but if you want the full scoop on ThickAsABrick's debut map, check out his project thread on our forums.
EDIT: Whoops, I managed to erase the previous news post... but basically, it detailed the announcement and screenshot of Frieza's new map pack Cellars of Na'Adriel, which also has its own project thread.
Latest News 5 October 2003 Hellscrag
There has been so much focus on the UnrealSP.Org Sequel project in the last month that there has been little time for anything else - however, I now have some news to report. Quite apart from the total shakeup that recently resulted in a "clean slate" approach to the development of the sequel, a new project has been announced! Mr. Prophet is heading a team called "Red Nemesis" on the development of 7 Bullets, a follow-up to The Xidia Incident and Na Pali Haven: Redux. The project has been added to the Upcoming Maps page. Although a proper link for the project is still pending, you can still read the official announcement on this forum thread.
