RoboCop skin
I basically didn't change the skin so much, but customized it and gave it more faces.

That is, if "faces" counts as that little bit between the top of the chin and the bottom of the nose.

Original skin has an odd off-yellow tone to it that never made sense to me, so I restored the skin to a more blue-steel white; like it is in the movies.

I enhanced but restricted the team colors to just the upper torso.

Skin has 5 faces now.

Including a voicepack I found for the character.

Skinning for Star Trek is tricky when you're trying to stick to the canon material and having to deal with the limitations of certain models. Such as with the Soldier model for both Male & Female which doesn't allow team colors on the shoulders and upper arms...

...which made a Red Shirts skin I did a stretch back all but impossible except for use in MonsterHunt.

It occurred to me the whole thing didn't need to be Team Colored. In recent years Star Trek has featured uniforms which were primarily gray or black with coloring in limited display, so I opted for that.

Lower Decks was NOT what I was going for. In order to make it gray in certain parts I separated the textures to edit them and then pasted them back together... that white line was not deliberate, but I decided to keep it.

What we have here are two skin sets, Male & Female, for the Soldier model with full team colors and multiple faces. Starfleet has more than human members, so there's a wide variety of species here.

Female Soldier has 17 faces.
Male Soldier has 25 faces.

My first attempt to move the Red Shirts skin from male to female...

...keeping in with the female uniforms of the original series of Star Trek. Which gave me the thought it could be different as when the series started, the female officers didn't wear pants.

Opened up potential for full team colors, which I never managed with the male version.

My dislike of naked skins worked out well here, as I took one and dressed it.

While lamenting at the time an existing Bruce Lee skin has such lousy team colors, I suddenly remembered an old conversation about there being no CHUCK NORRIS skin...

...well, now there is.

Took the face off a ut2k4 model and then I just needed a body. Once I had that setup then the customization began, which didn't take too long once I started it but it was some work. Initial skin tones for the face, head, body, and arms all didn't match. Used tint edits to get them up to speed and more properly aligned.

Team Colors used to be the entire pants and gauntlets...

...but the fact shoulders can't use them made me remove it from all extremities and have it only on the pants.

I may make another skin later of CHUCK NORRIS if I can find the proper materials.

Orcs all around
This is a bit of a 2fer, two skins I edited with a similar theme.

Along with my usual collection of superhero skins I found a Batman, Superman, & Flash with no team colors.

Can't say why I went with Orc, but I team colored the gray parts and gave it multiple faces.

Now, the ShadowKnight skin was one of my faves for years, but I always thought the Team Colors were too bright...

This didn't turn out exactly like I wanted it to, though I suppose it was predictable as I've seen similar in the simplified work of others.

Example which inspired this had more defined details of the skin's features and musculature which, for whatever reason, I hoped would be readily apparent.

Not so much.

A darkened presentation of the Reptal Soldier, with the logo on the back selected by he who disappeared. 1st draft only had team colors on the gauntlets, but I always intended to come back and fill those out a bit more...

CTF at the Great Wall
Edited for 2 different UTDM-monsters, if I still had access to UnrealEd I'd probably eventually have edited for the only other kind I know of as well.

What we have here is a large map with two symmetrical sides which a large wall in-between them.

They're not exactly "bases" as both open areas have a lot of things in them but no singular individual structure.

The wall itself is massive, with various ways to get across it (above, below, and at ground level) with a couple surprises within it.

I first edited UTDMT (1 titan per team) onto it...

...before eventually doing a UTDMW (2 warlords per team) version as well. Although, in many respects, the UTDMT version can be the most deadly as a Titan throwing boulders in such an open space hits players like bowling pins.

Mirror Universe skin
My first foray into compensating for the restriction of team colors on a Star Trek skin.

While it wasn't an overall thing in the TOS episode where the crew found themselves in a parallel reality, a lot of the uniforms did show a lot of arm. This made team colors much easier to handle while keeping to canon material.

Took an initial skin and customized it for what I wanted, with a lend from paperCoffee in giving me a goatee for "Evil Spock".

I did make a slight screw up, I forgot to put in Sulu... but that allowed me to include him in a different skin-set, so it works out well enough I suppose.

A long term edit I was doing, which fortunately was pretty much done by the time I lost the ability to edit maps.

What we have here is a comic book themed map with 2 bases which are not at all symmetrical. The overall map is, but the bases aren't in the least. Blue Base is styled after the Hall of Justice from DC Comics' Super Friends, while the Red Base is an original design Marvel Comics-themed base stylized on Doctor Doom. Blue Base is low to the groud, Red Base is raised up higher. Blue Base has a fountain out front which is safe, Red Base has a lava pool which is lethal.

Insides of the bases are different too.

Map has UTDM-monsters, 1 inside of each base and 1 outside each. 2 Titans on the Red Team, 1 Warlord & 1 SkaarjBerserker on the Blue Team.

Map also has 2 "super" bots. Now, to be clear, these are NOT aimbots. What's super about them is I took the movement of the fastest Skaarj I had, and I copied that into one of the bots and did similar with the other but with slight variations.

Map originally had no pathing, until I had Nelsona fix that.

It seemed ideal for UTDM-monsters, on a couple levels. As you can see in the selection window it originally had a standard Titan and Queen in the arena, which is why I opted for a UTDMT & UTDMW. Normal monsters eventually die and don't respawn, having monsters that can respawn makes their potential to get a game to last longer ideal.

Under the arena there's an area with cages for other monsters, common to the theme of a coliseum in any movies involving the Roman Empire... and an exceptional number of BSP issues.

Although it has naught to do with gameplay, nobody really goes down there. I'd toyed with the notion of replacing what's down there with 6 or 7 UTDMS but passed.

There are a couple ways to get into each base, from either side or through the roof.

All in all, a fun little map.

... but near as I know they're gone now and I thought something better could go in those windows.

Instead of better though, I opted for silly.

Team colors fairly standard, but the icons on the front & back also change for each team color.

I did a previous edit of this for fun · https://ut99.org/viewtopic.php?p=72991 · based on a silly idea, but I forgot about these other two until this week.

DesertFox is a fairly large map, with mountains; playspace above and below. Both bases are well fortified, with ample sniping spots around them.

Titans can throw boulders fairly high so it's no mean feat to stay out of range...

...although it's harder to snipe a base with a Warlord in it, as it can fly up to where you are.
