Name: UT2004 LAN Tournament
Version: Beta 1
Description:
This mod is a direct adaptation of UT2004's single player mode, made to be playable in multiplayer LAN games. It's not perfect, but playing through the whole campaign has been fun.
Here's how it works:
-The host creates or loads a profile, and then starts a game in a designated lobby map
-Other players join, and then the host manages the bots and chooses which match to play
-Once the match ends, everyone goes back to the lobby map
What features are working:
-Profile creation, saving, loading, and exporting
-Ladder progression, including Qualification, Team Qualification, and the main Ladder mode.
-Arena switching
-Team management (hiring, firing, injury, and healing)
-Hiring team members during the Qualification ladder is free
-Credits system (paying wages, winning/losing money, and getting money from a sponsor should you lose too many games)
-Loading screens
-Last Match Played, Opponent Teams, and Other Tournament Matches menus
-Teams have their respective icons during matches
-Players are automatically put on blue team as long as PlayersBalanceTeams is set to false
What features aren't working:
-Mutator support
-Bloodrites (you can challenge a team, but you can't take their team member)
-Random challenges and events
-For a full list, see Known Issues.

► Show Spoiler
1. Extract the system files (UT2k4MPLadder.u, int, ucl, and ini) to your system folder.
2. Open your UT2004.ini file in your System folder.
3. Make sure you have bPlayersBalanceTeams under [UnrealGame.TeamGame] set to false.
4. If you want to see the enemy roster while the game is loading, look for LoadingClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4SP_LadderLoading and ConnectingMenuClass=GUI2K4.UT2K4ServerLoading. Replace them with LoadingClass=UT2k4MPLadder.MPLadderUT2K4SP_LadderLoading and ConnectingMenuClass=UT2k4MPLadder.MPLadderUT2K4SP_LadderLoading.
5. Save your UT2004.ini file.
6. Start UT2004. Go to Host Game. Under "Custom Game Type," choose "Co-op Lobby."
7. Go to the mutators list and add "Tournament Co-op Mutator" to your list of active mutators.
8. Configure the mutator to create a new profile (or load an old one by double clicking on its name). Note that you cannot use profiles that were made for single player games.
9. Start your game as a listen server (do NOT choose dedicated).
10. You MUST spawn your character without opening the menu, otherwise you have to restart.
11. Once you have spawned, open your menu. From there, you can configure your team and choose which matches to play.
If you're playing with more than one extra person, open UT2k4MPLadderConfig.ini and change NumExpectedPlayers to however many players will be joining your game. If 3 people (including you) will be playing, set NumExpectedPlayers to 3.
Known issues:
► Show Spoiler
1. Challenging a team without having the money for it will send you back to the main menu.
2. Disconnecting from a game in progress will take you back to your chosen lobby map.
3. Once a team game ends, the lobby game type's score limit will be the same as that game's.
4. Random challenges do not happen.
5. Bloodrites does not work - you can challenge a team, but you can't choose which teammate to replace once you've won.
6. Only the host can see their profile and manage their teams.
7. The menus are cramped on lower resolutions, and the ladder pictures clip into each other.
8. There is no "play" button in the Ladder menu, but double clicking on the match you want to play works.
9. Like in the original single player mode, mutators are not (currently) supported.
10. Using the Tournament Co-op Mutator outside of the Co-op Lobby gametype causes a bunch of strange problems, so it's best not to do it.
11. Opening the menu before spawning in the lobby will prevent your profile from appearing. To fix, restart your game, spawn, and then open the menu.
12. If a player joins after a game has already started, it's possible that a bot from your team will be replaced with an incorrect placeholder.
13. Save games made in the single player mode do not work. This is by design.
