Well you could replace the textures of the surfaces that use WetBeams1 with another one, maybe you can make a mylevel texture that replicates the original texture, I believe the only place that the map uses that texture is in the boat at the beginning of the map.

Awesome news, I played the UT99 version and it's as good as I remembered, the only change I noticed were cosmetic things like the wheel decoration looking much better and some texture alignment improvements, its a great patch however I haven't tested the 227j version and I don't know if the map is playable in Unreal 227i (it should since the botpack227 works in 227i)

I've only tested it with 227J and all works fine as far as I can tell. I would go as far to say that the 227J version is now the better version as performance with the OpenGL renderer seems to be much better and the visuals look a little bit sharper.

As I've used a heavy amount of decorations I would strongly recommend that decoration shadows is turned off. It really doesn't look good with them on and they effect performance.
