There's no doubt that Kaka's work can't be described with words. But I wonder about performance here. These maps are made on engine that was released roughly 17 years ago, which is hell of an achievement on its own right. I experience drop in framerate on certain huge maps (i.e. Nali Chronicles' "Prophet's Palace", particularly in the main hallway on said map) on an Asus F3S laptop from 2008, which is far more than enough to smoothly run the vanilla game. Or maybe it's a matter of OGL/D3D renderers I use at the moment.
Anyway, we shall find that out once the mod is released. And it's been ten years since I saw first screenshots and threads about it, but I don't mind the development time as long as Dead Cow Studios will deliver us quality content. Just remember that guys at Epic and DE had a delay too, but that's why our beloved game is so good and why we are here today.

My life really wont be complete if I miss out on experiencing TCO
On another topic: does anyone think it is too far fecthed to hope for the possibility of playing unreal on oculus rift or HTC vive?

Wouldn't that require a lot of extra computation power : 2 different images (or better) video-streams would have to be created on the fly and sent to the output. The amount of work to do that for U1 is probably not worth the effort.

I would love to see some progress on the project, but well maybe we have to wait still.

The few screenshots I dared look at in this thread looked so good (years back already) that I have decided to no longer look at any teasers for The Chosen One to avoid spoilers for this future awesomeness

Grimoire IS def coming before TCO/Firestorm, though not sure how many people worked on that. The two mappacks have just 1 or 2 ppl behind.
