SP2D web site

Post by kea »

SP2D has no web site ATM. :(
This was a surprise for me too. One day I tried to go to SP2D website and realized that it's removed.
People who hosted site were kind enough to give me backup of site, though.
I asked BeyondUnreal for hosting, but still have no response from them. :/
So all news will be posted on forums.

PS.
If somebody wills to offer me free hosting contact me.

the flyby is.... (And please note that this is EXTREMELY "IMO") nothing revoloutionary. The sound effects seemed a bit "low poly" (Lolroflcopter, low poly sound effects  ) and it didn't really show off much, a lot of it (or a fair amount of it at least) was looking at uninteresting surfaces or the backs of nali houses where nothing much was happening.

What i DID like about it was the actual theme. The snowy nali village doesn't sound very interesting or hard to do, but your flyby conveys "cold" in all respects and the theme was pulled off quite well. I definately enjoyed this new theme.

Of course, the crappy sound quality could be because of you having to record it for distribution on the internet. So my raving about that could be dismissed.

So yeah....... I like the flyby, but apart from the theme, i don't think it is all that special. (To restate my important point, this is all EXTREMELY IMO)
It'll be done when it'll be done.
of course  What i should have said is "it's finished right? release will be when?"
IIRC you said that you were only waiting on the flyby and the mod would be ready when it was finished. If i am right, the mod is complete, the only thing left would be beta testing.

Flyby sounds are usual Unreal sounds, it should be better in-game.

As for beta testing... Well, beta testing isn't the last thing we have to do... Carthage also improves first 2 maps, they appeared to be too crappy. Screenshots will be unveiled as he finishes them both.

I actually really liked the flyby. It's looking kinda cartoon-ish, but it's also for a 2D platform, so you won't see it 3D as in the flyby... so you can make it low-detail. But even then.. I really liked it!
