Or just no DP Powerups at all rather than damage reduction, like ONP and Xidia: The Escape did.

Actually, that would be a good idea. If the dispersion pistol was remodeled so that it was like a bridge between the u2 one and the u1 one it would be cool.

Just a suggestion popped into my head, as I read the thread title again. You missed a very special weapon, the M2 .30 machinegun which was in my opinion used too seldom in UT games.
I think xidia had 2 of them as did Skytown, one in the phoenix outpost and another one tho fight a Red nemesis in a warehouse-like area.

I think a new skin which does not look so bland and the option to carry it would make a very special and innovative feature for RD. You could make it very inaccurate while shooting it from standing position for surpressing fire or close range and deployable with a bipod for medium range. IMO a much better option for a heavy machine gun than the overpowered minigun from 7B - which was total bleh.

I think the .30 was a nice gun so I would like to see a return of it in a altered version.

*edit* Ah, I cant remember the chambering, was it a .30cal or the big ole .50? Have to play Xidia again I guess.

yeah but that wasn't an unreal weapon. that was ported from teh infiltration mod. You can't call it an "unreal weapon". Thats probably why you see it as underused.

Thats new to me, honestly I didnt know its origin till you mentioned it. However, its brief appearances in Xidia and Skytown redux makes it a weapon which played a (sadly a minor) role in the Jones saga, and would love to see it again in a more fancy way.
I have a soft spot for underdog weapons, so I like the chainsaw too. :o

Yeah, the Machine Gun Turret... how many horrible memories I recall from SkyTown Redux when it was bugfest incarnated. In Xidia it was kickass.

We have no plans to use the infiltration turret in RD.

We will have something new that's kinda the same idea.

Perhaps an Infra-Red function on the Sniper Rifle? I have seen a weapon use this feature before (I'm using it in my own SP mod) and it it kicks ass! But one thing that the one I have lacks is the ability to pick up lava...

It's a cool idea. But the issue is implementing something that won't have much of a gameplay purpose.

Well, I use it in Monster Hunt-Which is VERY simmilar to SP-to find out where creatures are. This way, people won't get what I call "Zephon Syndrome"
Essentially, this was a scene in the Project: Zephon mod's FIRST LEVEL, where ALL the lights go out, and you're wandering down the ONLY way out (A hallway) and a Skaarj explodes out of the roof, dropping a Panel on your head and crushing you to death

Also handy for testing-Tells me whether that Mercenary fell in a big hole or not, or, and this is the thing that the one I have ATM lacks, is being able to see "Is that a pool of blood (Legacy, EXU2) or lava?
Besides, wouldn't Marines be using this stuff, realisticly :)
