Sleeper Cell
I released a demo reel of some work I've been accumulating. Everything except one song was done in 2007, three not previously released. I thought there may be some interest here because three of these songs are to be featured in Residual Decay; The Premonition, Serene Apprehension, and Mnemonic Barrier (featured in last demo).

Probably not Serene Apprehension. I buried that until I felt convinced it was appropriate.Mister_Prophet wrote:I've heard all these right?
btw- if for any odd reason the host stops working again, songs can be streamed and individually dl here.
Definitely worth the 56mb.
All tracks are very good and ''fresh'', but Nanoteck sticks out IMHO, its outclasses all other tracks by far.
Exactely the music I would put into Residual Decay, great job, feels like the music I would excpect in a high quality sci-fi action/horror movie.
Just one question, why is there so much difference in bit rate in all the music tracks?
As example Serene App. has 51 kbs and Nanotek is 193 kbs. Huge difference!

Was encoded w/ VBR.-Visc- wrote:Just one question, why is there so much difference in bit rate in all the music tracks?

VBR can encode at the same quality as CBR but it dynamically adjusts the bitrate depending on the sounds being produced. Higher frequencies will cause the bitrate to increase and the absence of them will cause it to decrease. A VBR and CBR encoded at the same bitrate will sound the same but the filesize of the VBR version will be smaller to a degree related to the sounds being encoded.

Great work Zyn. I really like this.
