Post Posted: 29 Feb 2008, 02:39

Yes i read the read me and still i can not figure out how to start 7bullets in mac OSX(vr 10.4.11, ut99 is updated to latest version). I am using UTX preview 3 to play ut99 on my computer(cant play ut99 natively w/o the utx app). Could not find correct console command to start the game.

i have the 7bullets folder in my UT base folder, any help?

Oldskool is available with 7B. Once you run it, it will install on UT. In UT, make sure it is enabled. You can do this on one of the toolbar options.

assuming it's all the same on Mac, that is.

additionally, double check the readme and verify you have all the other stuff too.

For 7B 1.2.1 the win32 shortcut command is C:\UnrealTournament\System\UnrealTournament.exe -ini=7bullets.ini
I imagine if you append -ini=7bullets.ini to whatever command the launcher is using it should work.
For Mac I'd actually recommend 7B 1.2 if you're not familiar w/ editing commands. It's more likely to run with less work.

I have old skool and 7bullets installed, and i can access the Old skool ampled mod from ut99. but i see nothing of 7bullets ingame.

I am using utX, and apparently while double clicking it(launching ut99) this is not the real thing that launches ut99 in osx. So i dont know what app or file launches ut99, so i cant use a command line.

7b 1.2.1 uses custom paths, which may exlpain why oldskool doesn't see it by default. You'll either need to configure the launcher to start ut using 7bullets.ini like the previous command or add the following lines to your ut.ini under [Core.System]
Paths=../7Bullets/System/*.u
Paths=../7Bullets/Maps/*.unr
Paths=../7Bullets/Textures/*.utx
Paths=../7Bullets/Sounds/*.uax
Paths=../7Bullets/Music/*.umx
Or you could use 7b 1.2 which doesn't use custom directories. Granted everything is installed (bonus packs) OldSkool should pick it right up.
