Well we have our first successful attempt.
The time to beat is 62 minutes 58 seconds, roughly...63 minutes. Technically it should be 63 since some seconds may have been shaved prematurely in the second to last map.
Please Note: If a map ends during a cutscene, like for example Unfinished Business, try to take the screenshot in the last 5 seconds or so. Otherwise, take your shot right before the exit so we know you're right at the end (like Ghost has done). Use his shots as an example (except for how he ended Unfinished Business)
*Page 1 updated with current submission and record.
**To see how exactly you should screenshot Unfinished Business, see page 1

The timer doesn't count up while you're in scripted sequences, I noticed
Though my run is ~63 minutes, the video I'm uploading is a tad longer because it includes the scripted sequences (And a few 1 second pause/load jitters)
Actually, the sequences add about 17 or so minutes total
Also, I had the scoreboard up for a few sequences, the timer doesn't count up until the HUD is restored
Uploading my video and attaching to this post as soon as it's done compressing/uploading
I gotta say though, even though I'm the only 'active' participant, this was alot more fun than I thought it would be.
I'm definitely re-doing if someone beats my score

I wasn't aware the clock stopped during cutscenes. I always thought it kept climbing.

I have uploaded the video to Veoh, if you have 80 minutes to burn, you can watch my speedrun in 320x240 goodness
http://www.veoh.com/videos/v6351369GEjAKjmT?confirmed=1
Note that by default it only does the preview, you gotta click on the link in the video window that says 'watch in Veoh TV' to see the full thing.

If you've seen the latest news post at Red Nemesis, you'll see that the prize choices have been announced. I put it on the first page of this thread as well.

I'm done, final time: 38:20:32
The explanation for 99% of the changes from Ghost's times is "weapon jumping", or in Lost Passages case "cutscene immortality", and a lots of saving . The -1 score on map 1 is because I took damage (I thought that only applied when using godmode, but then I tested and found out it's universal).
Familiar odds has no pause period at the end, so I took a screenshot a second or two before finishing and one after the next level starts, I did that for every level from then on whether it had this issue or not (as I just noticed the "take multiple shots when you can" rule then).

Now that's certainly going to be a fun score to beat.
MMan currently has the crown. Unless he can be dethroned. I'll still wait for a 3rd entry before a deadline is set.
Great run MMan

As you all can see from the updated first post, I've decided to show each contestant's kill total along with their overall score.
Use this as a guide. MMan had less than half of Ghost's 211 kills with only 92 of his own, and his overall point score was less as well. Yet his run managed to beat Ghost's by just a smidge over half the time.
This is a telling sign of what you all should be doing; Kill only what gets in your way and test any shortcuts you can without using cheats. MMan mentioned weapon jumping, which is something I figured people would rely on. I won't ask him to reveal his own methods, but from my own personal experience I can attest that it is possible to bypass certain areas quicker by only using the guns in your arsenal. Breaking a map routine by weapon jumping is not the same thing as cheating. As long as all your using is what's in your inventory.

with the second prize choice...... if the submitted map sucks and is absolute batshit, why don't you personally bring it up to scratch? In terms of graphics and maybe some subtle gameplay revisions.
Having a bad map weigh down this mod would not be good.

Obviously we'd have to, to accommodate the gametypes we have.
Though to be honest I don't think anyone would try that unless they are somewhat adept at mapping and want to contribute a seriously functioning level.

true... But one must make sure of these things.
Custom gametypes? (probably been announced somewhere else and i haven't noticed) Will these be varients of existing types? or relatively unique "new concept" type gametypes?

There should be a Q and A covering that on the website...but I actually haven't checked it since the database crash.

Anyone else giving it a shot? I'm waiting for at least one other person before I call a deadline.
