The reason the titan need the remade is because they are so rare. They are supposed to be frightening creatures, but instead we have some low poly fugly dragon like creature.
There's always a build-up right before a titan fight so you need a creature that lives up to the player's expectation.

yeah, but then again a brute is the "first impression" monster in most cases for unreal. For me, brutes serve as a "mini" boss in most cases while they usually appear comming out from a wall, or behind a wall or from some area hidden to the player. If these beings were remastered the way they should be, when a player see's a brute walking out from behind a wall they should be instantly freightened by its big body and huge guns.

a funny version of the brute would be one that actually can run fast and had homing rockets. It also has the anti headshot helmet from ut3 and when it gets close enough impact hammers appear from its rolls of fat and blow the player away.

yeah actually brutes can run fast originally when they enter "berserk" mode. Yeah, thats right! If you look at the scripted pawn code for a brute you will find that it does enter berserk mode every now and then

Voted brute.
They look way stronger than they are, and the firing is yucky.

As for titans I have no problems, but, in Quake1 you know those big white critters that shoot a lightning bolt, shambler?

Ahh, well it would be kinda cool if the titans also did a accurate as hell bolt.Along with quik death, like 2 shots you die, don't think it would work in UT, but in Quake1 the bolt goes partialy through walls. So if you think your gonna hide close to a wall and sneak around fast it may snag you.

Just a thought.
You could keep the boulders with another type of titan.
Just ban everyone

(^∀^)う Not only have a titan that can throw the enviroment at you(boxes, other pawns, debris) but have it also so that titan can pick up the player too lol. Have a titan fight with some destructable enviroment and that would be great(titan picks up somthing, throws it through a pillar, mover falls over and item for titan to throw takes its place, then it would apear titan is throwing pilar at you.

Voted Brutes. They have great potential as a remastered enemy, although I do have to agree the Titan needs a little upgrade too.

Probably because the Skaarj Warrior is "iconic" and, IMO, the best pawn mesh in the game, that doesn't need a lot of improvement.

I agree. Though they'll get work done regardless (and entirely new classes to the species), but still...it's interesting to note how they've stood the test of time :o

I think the head ruff, which uses a masked texture, probably makes the model look more detailed than it actually is.

And we've seen different Skaarj classes already... custom or not.

Seen? Well said, different classes actually had just different HP's and different weapons. A texture-color hardly makes a new pawn.

All the monsters need to be hard. Especially the Red Nemesis, if they appear.
