It's a bit odd seeing the UTech textures being used with the other textures you have there, but in this case you have something that looks really nice. Excellent use of colors in your lighting as well!

Any specific ideas for a project or is this currently a concept you're still working on?

I actually really, really like those shots! It's very human-looking architecture, and the armory feels like an actual place on a starship, rather than a game arena. (Though the second shot has a bit more of that "game arena" feel.) I also REALLY dig the colorful lighting! Looking forward to seeing how you'll be using that environment. =)

of curse, first of all this map will be a showcase of many 227 features and maybe the start map of my small singleplayer campaign idea which exist since 2002 in my head :)

You used a staticmesh + masked texture for the wire fence to get the shadow, yeah?

Looks awesome, really like the inset wall lights and the centre-piece :)

Yes, I would usually use geometry, but this new method is much more economical on the BSP, and can potentially allow much more detail.

Probably high shadow detail+drawscale modified textures, which Mr Prophet describes at the bottom of the Icetextures tutorial: legacy/community/leveldesign/tutorials/icetextures.html

Edit: I guess those fences must be actual brushwork to shadow like that though...

Do you mean shadows or lighting itself?

As Mman said, I used to use brushwork, but now I use a much more economical method ;)
