Here's sshot:
Fire is made out of 4 emitters (sparks, smoke, fire, glow). It's not so hard to create an effect.

Just downloaded the emitter and placed the files in the system folder of my UT directory. What do I do to use the thing now? When I open the UT editor and go through the actor class browser I apparently couldn't find anything. Help, please? I so badly want to place some nice fairy twinkles in some of my maps.

You have to open it first . Just open Emitter.u in class browser.

Yup, got it now. Tried putting an emitter in one of my maps (XParticleEmitter > XEmitter > Emitter). It's just a group of five pretty dots. Under the 'properties' there are things like EmFade, EmForces, EmThis, EmThat,... etc. Wouldn't know what to make of them!
I don't suppose there's any tutorial around for using these emitter things yet? (I just want some fairy twinkles in the air at a place in my map...)

You have to play with the options , also edit source in class browser - most options are described (that's how I'm doing it). I was thinking about some tutorial but ya know - lack of time.

I know its a bit of a bump, but i got a question for Dots. I am sure you are aware Krullor made a 227 map for patch 227 being DmRetrospective. I asked him to port the map to UT for my S3TC DecayedS release.
Is this particle emitter exactly the same as the 227 version, or is there a difference ?
e.g. can Krullor use the same particles he used for the 227 map for UT ?

It's pretty much exactly the same (except for no particle colors settings in UT).

WWW, if you're intending to use it for Zephon, mind that it relies on a DLL. DLLs can't be downloaded off online in-game servers, so people without the pack who try to download it off coop servers on the fly will not be able to join/will bug out and crash without the proper files.

It's not for Zephon My aim with Zephon is only to balance out the game-play issues to my best ability, nothing else.
