Interesting. Early WIP shot I presume.
Although can you say anthing about the story?
How much more has been done? I understand you had already started in week 1 (while on vacation apparently).

I don't do things in order. Right now, I have done no lighting, no gameplay and no scripted sequences. Its only the geometry I am currently working on (which will be the majority of the work for this map). I'm going to wait for week 2 to start thinking about lighting and then week 1 will be gameplay overhaul. I can't promise a finished product at the end of the competition, but that is what I'm shooting for.
If week 2 comes and I'm slacking behind (something that is normal for me), I'll decide what I need to cut to at least make a semi-final product.

double post:
Oh, I missed the comment about what the story will be for my map. Well, needless to say its going to be pretty bare-bone and basic.. Actually, I will most likely do all the story aspects of the map the night before release (if I make it in time). I feel like the story is a necessary thing, but the least important from a mappers perspective. Remember, I'm making a map and not a campaign here (although it could be included within a larger campaign).
This map will be a side story driven thing with maybe one main theme to piece it all together. The name of the map will actually give away the main theme indirectly. If done right I think this map will be a crowd-pleaser.
The map name is FalseLight.unr

Actually, it is a well thought out name for the map (and not because of the lighting). For one, it is a legal term that has been challenged by the first Amendment's "Freedom of Speech". It helps protects ones privacy by preventing publications that can be labeled as offensive to an individual.
Secondly, its a song name (where I originally got the name). And last but not least, its intended to have a double meaning in my map by meaning more along the lines of "False Worship" and trickery.

Jackrabbit hasn't been seen on here since his row with Creavion (nor has Creavion). I don't think we'll be receiving a submission from him, unfortunately - but I would be glad to be proved wrong.
Life is what you make of it.
