Can't say the same for the negative overlay (although that's a general thing), but whatever.

the motion blur looks like too eye intense
should be use in a specific ocasion, or tweaked and only visible when moving the mouse, like the new games

They're used only in specific occasions.

Skaarj Tank, Bomber and Gunship pawns that mow down/strafe Jones and can only be defeated by a modded RTNP missile launcher are really what I would love to see in RD and become impressed about. Actually these SFX are nice additions, except for the motion blur. This comment is just because I'm more interested in gameplay innovations than in SFX as part of the Gameplay > Graphics crowd . I suppose that a Gunship/bomber movement behavior could be made by removing the z-axis movement from the Manta attack sequence, so it'd go bringing death from above, and seeing something like that in a teaser as a real foe rather than a scripted event would really be cool.

Pretty much this EXACT scenario is in Firestorm. You should look for one of the latest Firestorm trailer videos; it's pretty damn impressive.

MOTION BLUR IS ADJUSTABLE (as well as any other effects).

I like the effects.. the showcase is really nice.
Negative overlay was just a "show of hands"..
Motion blur.. well.. you can put it in whenever you're in a lot of pain for example... But I don't think it's a constant thing either...

Either way.. really nice!
