Mister Prophet has been at it again, this time providing an updated review of Atomic Pop's vintage Unreal TC Panic 2. Stay tuned, as we will also be bringing you a review of a previously unreviewed map pack within the next day or so.

Panic 2 was just too awesome. I cracked up at every step I made.
Cool weapons and music. And the final boss rocked!
I wonder what...

You never have been to USP.org, now have you?
I'm NOT talking about Panic2.... but about the review that's coming up...
And I just went to USP.org for the first time.. and I don't really care for a pharmaceutical company's website..

Quite a low scores again, I would have given higher grades for texturing and sound, and the original use of custom content in general.
But this criticism (scores too low) is not limited to this review in particular, but rather to the entire 'new' scoring system.

We have high scores too. This isn't like school exams, where anything under 6-7 is a failing grade... 5 = Average. Under the old system 0-5 were barely used and it gave us no flexibility at all.

Actually under the old scoring system things were insanely unbalanced and generous. Much better this way. And fairer.
The textures, while refreshing were good...but they weren't the best quality either. They really weren't very exciting. Same with the sound. While the new stuff was interesting, just having new sound samples isn't always enough. Sound has to work as a whole, and besides the new music samples Panic2 has very little noteworthy sound rich moments.
I praised the custom content, even though it was clear that it wasn't perfect and often clunky in a lot of ways. All in all, the scores are pretty fair.

Methinks we needs a rereview of One Day as well. It has a 10 for architecture which, I'm sure for today's standards, could be reduced to a 6. Nice work BTW, Proph. A good read.

If I remember I downloaded and tried One Day only to get an error. I'll have to try again and see what's up but I think I'm missing a file.

I was a bit surprised, too. I haven't played it, but from pics it looks more like a 3 or a 4.

Panic 2 has more sense of archi than the Crescent Moon series at least.
