More Mappage 30 September 2001 Hellscrag

Team Vortex have a couple of screenies showing off a new texture set and some new recruits' maps being made for Operation Na Pali. Nali Chronicles has received a shot in the arm, recruiting four more mappers and a new webmaster. We'll have to keep our eyes on the progress of these projects. Meanwhile, MMAN UGITU is working on a "horror map pack". We'll see how that pans out.

Mappage updates 22 September 2001 Hellscrag

The Team Vortex crew went nuts with new (and much nicer) screens of their much-awaited pack, Operation Na Pali. Also, the Nali Chronicles team released two movies of a couple of their spells being cast. Worth checking out.

New Unreal 2 shots 15 September 2001 Hellscrag

For some more cheerful news, a couple more shots and extra bits of art have appeared over at http://www.unreal2.com. Actually, when I looked at the Skaarj seen through a scope, one of my first thoughts was how hideous the surrounding textures were, but maybe they'll look better in the playing! It's always worth looking at the shots of the game that is likely to render this site so thoroughly obsolete so very quickly :).

A note to our readers 11 September 2001 Hellscrag

I felt it was only appropriate to express my dismay at events in America today. Being myself a native of the United Kingdom, I can only say I hope that none of our American friends here have been affected by the disastrous events that took place this morning. How anybody can do such a thing is frankly beyond me. On behalf of the team, best wishes to you all.

Operation Na Pali demo released! 07 September 2001 Hellscrag

TeamVortex have come good with the long-awaited demo of Operation Na Pali. Be sure to surf into their site and download the 26Mb demo right away.

News roundup 07 September 2001 Hellscrag

Having returned from a great family holiday in Italy, I come back to a variety of news good and bad, but plenty to read about. Here's a summary:
Good news about Waffnuffly's Attacked! pack - it rushes ever towards its completion and is expected to be released within three to four weeks.
Bad news about MMAN UGITU's The Journey part 1 pack, all the data for which has been lost by a badly timed reinstall. However, MMAN UGITU is not put off and intends to work on another SP pack before recommencing work on The Journey.
Maverick has announced that he is working on an SP pack, but I can't give you any more information than that because there are no pages about it yet on his site. I guess we keep checking in.
Finally, Techno has announced that he is building a series of "tutorial" walkable through UT SP maps designed to guide the SP mapper in the addition of advanced features to their maps. It should be a useful creation and I await its development with interest!
