Return to Na Pali Coop Project released 31 August 2001 Hellscrag

I had time to snag this bit of news before I leave. A new project has been released at http://www.planetnapali.com: "We are very proud, to inform you, that we have released a mod which enables players, to play the Unreal Mission Pack: Return to NaPali together in COOP mode with as many players as they like!". If you are a coop freak, then this site is worth a visit.

It's gonna be a quiet week at UnrealSP 30 August 2001 Hellscrag

I'm going away for a week so there will be no more updates to the site during this time :(. I will be returning on Friday 7th September. If you have any big news for the Unreal SP scene, mail me at [email protected] and I'll round it up on my return. Keep posting on the forums!

The last week's mappage roundup 28 August 2001 Hellscrag

Sorry for the lack of updates, there just hasn't been much news around and I've been busy organising a 1v1 ladder for my UT clan. Anyway, we have a few bits of upcoming project news; MMAN UGITU sent me a new Upcoming Maps pic which I uploaded a few days ago, Willis wanted me to update the Na Pali: Broken pic so I did, and out on the web, Nali Chronicles have posted a new screeny. Most projects have a little bit of progress being made at the moment, and we should see the first ones before the summer is out.

Oldskool Amp'd bugs 21 August 2001 Hellscrag

Some bugs have turned up in the new Oldskool Amp'd 2.3, so you should download the 2.35 patch at the site.

Unreal music track by track 19 August 2001 Hellscrag

I took a break from my mapping to write a track by track critique of the music from Unreal and Return to Na Pali. Check it out in the Features section!

A bit of bad news about Offensive Retreat 19 August 2001 Hellscrag

It turns out this happened some time ago. Drevlin tried to tell me, but I never received his message. Since getting a job at Nexs Interactive, he has had to stop working on his Return to Na Pali SP pack Offensive Retreat, because he hasn't the time to work on it any more. It's a shame, because I for one was really looking forward to playing it. As it was left, 9 maps needed completing: two of them were very nearly done, but the others were under half done. If anyone is interested in maybe trying to finish them for him to save them going to waste, contact Drevlin here. Sadly this means the pack is removed from the Upcoming Maps page for all the wrong reasons. But, I have taken the opportunity to rearrange said page with the more news-breaking projects moved to the top (although the quiet Operation Na Pali remains at the very top - there's not really anywhere else it could go :).

Big Waffnuffly update 19 August 2001 Hellscrag

Waffnuffly has done a big update of his site with new screenies and news of his upcoming Unreal SP pack Attacked!. I also updated the pic in Upcoming Maps with the new skybox.

Oldskool Amp'd v2.3 released 18 August 2001 Hellscrag

As many of you will know, Oldskool Amp'd is a mod for UT that adds a whole host of single player and coop features to Unreal Tournament so that we can finally play those UT SP maps with ease, as well as running old Unreal maps on the latest tech. Well, v2.3 is out and it looks to be feature packed so I suggest you get it. Thanks to Usaar33 for providing us with such a great tool.

Mappage updates 17 August 01 Hellscrag

I've done another round of seeking out updates on the various upcoming maps listed on the site. MMAN UGITU's The Journey Part 1 seems to be undergoing good progress and might be coming out by the end of the holidays. Waffnuffly's Attacked! pack is being beta-tested, with some areas still to be completed, and a release can't be too far off. Finally, progress is being made on my own The Landing, with the most recent screenshots being available on Scragsite.

New team member and site area 14 August 2001 Hellscrag

Allow me to welcome aboard Karmadude, who joins UnrealSP.Org to run a section devoted to finding and reviewing the best Unreal-based fan fiction. He is added to the team page. To get the ball rolling, he reviews Kran's Fall: Kira's Struggle by Mike "Noailiat" Azaria, giving it the stonking score of 9.9/10! The review can be found in the new section.

Exclusive Kenophobia shots! 10 August 2001 Hellscrag

The_Culture of project Kenophobia came good with some sweet concept pics from their upcoming pack. You can check the screenies out here, exclusive to UnrealSP.Org! It also meant a convenient update for the Upcoming Maps page :). Included are two concept screenshots of the seed ship control centre, and a concept sketch of a medical station.

Strange World review 08 August 2001 Hellscrag

Naveed reviewed Strange World for the site. This well-known Unreal SP pack is recommended to anyone who has not yet played it. You can find Naveed's review in the usual place.

Mappage updates 05 August 2001 Hellscrag

Nali Chronicles have posted a couple more nice screenies (they're very uncommunicative, this Nali Chronicles lot - wouldn't it be nice if a representative or two posted on our forums?), and I can also report that the second map of The Landing has been completed to beta stage :). Stay tuned to UnrealSP.Org for continuing updates.

Na Pali: Broken preview! 04 August 2001 Hellscrag

UnrealSP.Org is pleased to bring you an exclusive feature on Willis Unreal and Rat Development's upcoming UT SP project, Na Pali: Broken. Click here to read more.

Mappage news 29 August 2001 Hellscrag

Waffnuffly has announced that he has finished Ground Base 1, the first planet surface map of his upcoming Attacked! pack. Meanwhile, I can announce that I have finished beta one of the first map of my pack, The Landing - I will be getting it tested soon. It's a short map but should open the pack well.

Updates from MMAN UGITU 28 August 2001 Hellscrag

MMAN UGITU has reshuffled the plans for his series of upcoming UT SP packs known as The Journey. Legacy weapons will now not be required for part 1 - and he is starting again with the map building for the new starting setting. More details in Upcoming Maps.
