Our friendly neighbourhood chat populace has noted that good old UnrealSP.Org has way too little background image variety with it's meager count of 25. Thus, it is now your turn to beef it up! Show us your screenshots from Unreal, RTNP or custom maps (including Unreal-centric Oldskool releases) that you consider impressive enough to embellish the site.

Please make sure that the screenshot doesn't contain HUD elements such as crosshairs or a first-person weapon model. The images will be scaled to 1024x768, so appropriately sized shots (preferably in only lightly compressed JPG format) should be submitted. It may be a good idea to apply anti-aliasing in your settings and use S3TC textures, but it is not strictly necessary as long as jagged edges aren't too noticable after the downsizing. Now go and grab some of the best snapshots in Unreal single-player history!

Additionally, in an effort to keep the beauty of the original 25 (and originalestest screenshot) alive, we are also looking for higher-definition replications of the existing backgrounds. These include:

I am unsure about that, since the "old" screenshot loadout is rather pretty and definitely a keeper. I suppose new screenshots could be of higher scale, but fluctuating image sizes may look weird...

The alternative is to replicate the old shots, which would of course take time. Or, for background images, maybe a decent quality resample wouldn't look too terrible? (EDIT: Actually, scratch that, yes it would...)

Well, people are free to volunteer for that. I probably don't even possess half of the included map packs. Plus, as I was told, there's also a BFNP screenshot in there...

Bitmap files weren't designed for online distribution. In a pre-broadband world, you'd have been strung up for offering them in that format!
